The senior illustrator at the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle was Adolphe Philippe Millot, who created the illustrations for several of the Petit Larousse natural history sections. He belonged to the Société entomologique de France and the Salon des Artistes Francais, where he received an honorable mention in 1plore intricately designed angles, forms, and colors.
